Description

All models include an aluminum heat sink on the rear side. These grow lights pull between 100 and 250 watts of electricity depending which size you choose. For that level of power I wouldn’t worry about heat generation, but the aluminum heat sink is there just in case. Given the low price of Viparspectra products in general, it is surprising to see them use the same name brand components as the top quantum board brands: MeanWell drivers and Samsung LED chips. It’s even more surprising to see them keep the costs so low. NEW DIODE LAYOUT】Consists with more scientifically SMD-chip distribution to ensure more uniform PAR map and deeper canopy penetration to maximize plant yields. By this time, you have transplanted at least twice (from germination to seedling and seedling to vegetation). You can see that the values in the corners are only slightly lower than those in the middle. This is an incredibly even footprint and ensures plants around the outside of the coverage area get almost as much light as those in the middle.

The result is that these lights are better at vegging, seeding and cloning than any other quantum lights, but they are worse at flowering. They will still do a great job, but a fixture with warmer light will do a better job. It would help if you had a full understanding of your bulb or lamp’s wattage simply because this will dictate the amount of electricity it will be using. Higher wattages point to more power and electricity needed. NOTE:If you're concerned about electricity, I would suggest going with LED lights. They have bright lumens, but they are known and popular for their efficiency and cost-effectiveness at the same time. The Brand Matters Contrary to what many people think, the process of germination isn’t as simple as planting the seed into the soil. It involves ensuring that your seeds are kept in a dark, moist space! As mentioned above, the P1000 covers a 2×2 foot area, the P1500 covers 2×3 feet, the P2000 covers 2×4 feet and the P2500 covers 2×5 feet. The germination process is the very first process done to cannabis seeds — or any other types of seeds in this matter. Without germination, your seeds wouldn’t transition over to the seedling stage. The lights range from 100W to almost 500W of power to fit the needs of any grow setup ( see all models here). The XS1000 is the newest of the bunch, and the lowest powered version of the series, making it a great entry point. The Viparspectra KS series uses a mix of 3000K and 5000K white Samsung diodes, and 660 nm red diodes by Osram. This gives you a full-spectrum light with a large peak in the red and orange wavelengths and a second peak in the blue wavelengths. Most Chinese brands have serious customer service issues. Viparspectra has problems, too, but it’s not nearly as bad as most of the others. They have a service center in the US, which means a much faster turnaround time if you need a repair or replacement. Customer service is more responsive than most cheap brands, too.

The last method, but most definitely not least, is water germination. This process involves soaking your cannabis seeds in a glass of water so that the compounds of water can break the shell of the seeds down. As far as the quality of their lights, their stated aim is, “…to stay somewhere in the middle with well designed, well-made fixtures, at reasonable prices and no unnecessary extras.” What Type of LEDs Do They Use?Over the course of a few weeks, your cannabis seedlings will start to mature and develop. You’ll notice them growing a few fan leaves, and they’ll start growing up vertically.

A few years ago, LEDs were all the rage and companies were touting incredible yields with low energy costs… What’s the point of all of this? Just that the quantum board spectrum consists of an all-white light, and that the industry as a whole seems to be moving more and more in the direction of white LEDs.The Spider Farmer SF-2000 is considerably more expensive than the Viparspectra P1500. But it also emits stronger light and includes infrared wavelengths in the spectrum. The Spider Farmer will be a bit tough to dim. So this is a more difficult choice, but I think if you can afford the Spider Farmer SF-2000 you should choose that one. ViparSpectrais well known for creating grow lights and other essential horticulture equipment, and their latest Pro Series P1000 is undoubtedly loved by indoor gardeners.
