Tessa Dare is really good at bringing the humor and for such a short story, she packed it real nicely into this one. Sebastian comes up with a plan which could benefit her in many ways, and while she thinks him wanting to marry her is because he feels committed to her family, his motives actually have much more to do with only her.

Because Mary's got Secrets and they're all kept for a late reveal, there's no good way to get any sensation about what kind of a heroine she is since it's all flipped over in the last two chapters for the drama. I loved that they bickered and they laughed with each other and I really liked that they were both in love with each other from the jump. I think because by the time they were married and already well into the first couple days of their marriage, we know that Sebastian was madly in love with Mary but had that not been the case, I think I would have been more mad.Sebastian realizes that this was not Mary's original plan or groom, so he fights within himself to takes things slow and tells Mary that he will not consummate their marriage until she is ready no matter how long it takes.

Sebastian can’t stand to see his friend’s sister, the woman he’s been secretly in love with since childhood, jilted on the most important day of her life. The story is about American heiress Lexie who eventually becomes engaged to Prince Adam whom she's had a crush on for most of her life.

It needed a little more content to round things out and to provide the reader with a bit more background information.has really kicked my ass so I’m happy to finally be reading again and the quality of this one made me super happy. Overall I still thought it was a really fun novella that was well fleshed out considering the limited number of pages and I will be reading more books by Tessa Dare in future. She was strong and self-reliant, because losing her mother at a young age had given her no other choice.
